IRSAT is committed to conducting research and testing on national energy related issues. IRSAT works with biomass, biogas, and solar cooking technologies and is a national testing center for cookstoves. IRSAT research is centered on topics around energy/environment, technology development, and energy efficiency. IRSAT also provides academic training on renewable energy for students.

Our Focus
IRSAT provides technical support to the GIZ stove program FAFASO Burkina Faso and is engaged in networking activities with the West African testing center for Burkina Faso, Benin, Senegal, and Mauritania.
