Mission

IRSAT is committed to conducting research and testing on national energy related issues. IRSAT works with biomass, biogas, and solar cooking technologies and is a national testing center for cookstoves. IRSAT research is centered on topics around energy/environment, technology development, and energy efficiency. IRSAT also provides academic training on renewable energy for students.

Providing an affordable technology to the people.


Market development for improved cooking technologies:

IRSAT provides training to the FAFASO artisans who manufacture stoves, placing a high emphasis on quality control of the production.


Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

IRSAT is focused on stove testing and stove labeling.


Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

IRSAT uses a hood and Testo Gas Analyzer to measure CO, CO2, and NOx emissions.
