Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

Traveling in developing countries I realized the need for cleaner methods for cooking and developed an interest in this field. I built a few TLUD stoves that work, and would like to share my design and knowledge with whoever may be able to bring it out of my workshop to whoever may benefit from it.


Market development for improved cooking technologies:

I have experimented with various models of TLUD gasifiers and achieved good results. I gave away a dozen stoves to people who were interested in this technology, and sold a few in fairs and environmental gatherings. I would like to join an organization that might help me develop this interest into a marketable product that can help people who need it.


Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

I have no experience other than my own experimenting. My interest is in expanding my knowledge in this field.


Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:
