Fundación Natura's mission is to support conservation of biodiversity and search for alternatives for sustainable use of resources for improving the lifestyle of rural communities.
For two years, Fundación Natura has been working with rural communities reliant on forests as major sources of fuelwood, to decrease pressure on native stands and encouraging their conservation. Along the way, Fundación Natura has become aware that reducing fuelwood consumption must not be a "monolitic" measure so it's necessary to consider an holistic approach for achieving this target. For reducing indoor air pollution, Fundación Natura has started to design and prove a new model of cookstove. We hope to obtain results soon.
