we use various recycling techniques to generate income and any profits achieved are invested to assist education. In terms of biofuel we promote the use of paper/sawdust and other agricultural wastes in compressed briquette form to replace wood burning, to be used in more fuel efficient stoves.

We operate in The Gambia with rural, semi-urban and urban communities in partnership with local government and private partners.
Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas
We have a grassroots approach and know that commercial benefits on a family level best demonstrate additional benefits of new but improved and appropriate technology.
Any new technology has to have an economic benefit for the consumer visible from the outset - and be at least comparable in affordability and easy of usage to existing equipment.
We co-operate with local partners including the Technical Training Institute to design equipment that can be easily manufactured on a community level.
We are still establishing contacts with relevant local partners but the community development department's field workers are carrying out informal monitoring roles.
