Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

The barrier we face is religious as some women due to religious factors are not allowed to interact publicly. Thus we have had to hire and train women solely for this purpose.

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

Our experience has been that our people appreciate the stoves but are only hindered by funds to purchase the stoves. To this end we are making every effort and enlisting other institutions to help in the funding. We are working with local communities and NGOs.

Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

We have not worked on this area, but purchase stoves already in the market for our clients.

Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

We do not have any experience here.

Our Contribution to the Partnership

We want to deliver the stoves, and make them available to our people. We also want to take part in conferences and seminars to create more awareness for the stoves. We are also interested in sponsoring seminars and workshops.
