Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

Necessity overcomes all barriers. While there are challenges in this area, our experience shows this factor is not as important as many people and organisations seem to state. Technology is and always will be driven by need.

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

Solar Cookers for Africa has a wealth of experience in this department. We will soon begin carbon offsetting through our sister company www.africancarbonsolutions.com.

Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

We work with solar cooker project leaders all over the world and assist with this issue wherever possible.

Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

Solar Cookers for Africa has been involved in a number of monitoring and research programs.
