Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas

Social/Cultural barriers to using traditional fuels and stoves:

SUHA has conducted a thorough research of the market for the better quality cooking apparatuses and advises the masses to adopt these in their daily use.

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

We have so far installed more than 2,310 improved wood fuel stoves. We have a lot of experience in this line. We have also installed about 8,540 family size biogas plants/smoke free stoves in the past 7 years and have been very much successful in this line. We are into large size biomethanation and have good expertise in power generation through biogas. We are also working in water management, gender and health of children.

Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

Our volunteers visit the families who have opted our technology, to see their reaction and advise them in case they have any problems. Every quarter our research team also reviews the adaptability problems faced.

Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

Our grassroots motivators will frequent the households and monitor the improvement on health through a properly developed monitoring format.
