Davidzo is an energy consultant, currently researching on knowledge, attitude, behaviour and practices on indoor air pollution in Zimbabwe and Southern Africa at large. Of particular interest to Davidzo is the relationship between energy and the achievement of MDGs. She is also interested in championing pragmatic grassroot based, indoor air pollution solutions in developing countries.

Currently I am doing indoor air pollution researches in rural and urban Zimbabwe, the results of which will be published in various journals. I however intend to extend my research to the whole of Southern Africa.
Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas
The major barrier to using stoves in the areas is cost. Many people, in as much as they want to use environmentally and energy efficient stoves, cannot do so because the current cost of stoves are prohibitive.
There is needs to be more research in this area to develop acceptable and affordable cooking technologies.

Indoor air pollution is indeed a public health problem in Zimbabwe however the affected population is not well informed about indoor air pollution, thus exacerbating the problem.
