The first Call for Proposals for the EU's development programme "Environment and sustainable management of natural resources including energy" was published by EUROPAID with a deadline of February 21st, 2008 (Ref.: EuropeAid/126201/C/ACT/Multi). More than EUR 59 million is available through grants ranging from EUR 500,000 to EUR 2.5 million each, for projects ranging from 18-60 months.
This Call's priority covers sustainable energy options in Africa and Central Asia including areas of potential interest to PCIA Partners including avoided deforestation, improved management of energy resources, sustainable biomass, energy recovery from waste, renewable energy and energy efficiency.
