The estimated number of households cooking/heating with open fires and/or rudimentary, inefficient stoves in our project area is: 5000
3. Progress to Date:
 The work accomplishment that we are most proud of is:
1,500 Fire less stoves have been made are the women are using it in rural village to cook,fire institutional stove have been constructed for five secondary schools . 2,000 ceramic stove have been made with youth and women groups in western kenya and finally 1,500 youth and women have been trained to repair and maintain fireless stove, institutional stove and ceramic stoves
 What is the primary goal of your project or program? (IAP reduction or fuel savings)
Our work has generated or helped to get clean and efficient cooking/heating technologies used in an estimated:
  • 500 households with approximately 500 people in 2007.
  • 5 households with approximately 5 people in 2008.
  • 100 households with approximately 5000 people since we began work in 2004.

	8. Plans for the near future:
 The work we will focus on from January 2009 through December 2010 is:
Capacity  Building of women on alternative energy saving stoves
Our goal for 2009 and 2010 is to generate or help to get clean and efficient cook technologies used in an additional 2000 households.


	9. Additional Goals:
To promote the use of renewable energy resources and energy conservation at domestic and industrial level
Build institutional capacity of 100 CBOs, 10 NGOs and other affiliated organizations on clean and efficient cooking technology

I have not pursued carbon financing but would like to learn more
