Our Focus

Primary Initiatives, Target Populations, and Scope of Work:

Target Areas:

1. Conducting research to fabricate the most energy saving stoves at affordable prices. ASOFATE-CTDP will become a key stove producer/seller in the region for the next five years.
2. Promoting solar technologies of all kinds for heating, lighting, and cooking. in this regard, ASOFATE has installed 240 solar panes and we count to install 100 other solar panels in Rwanda.

The target population for ASOFATE-CTDP is both rural and urban people, rich or poor.

Market development for improved cooking technologies:

Cookstoves should be marketed as an income generator as well as an environmental protection technology. ASOFATE-CTDP is proud to be part of the environmental protection team.


Technology standardization for cooking, heating and ventilation:

Standardiztion of the technologies will help us to put all out efforts together having the same understanding and way forward.


Indoor air pollution exposure and health monitoring:

The staff at ASOFATE have experience in technology innovations and testing. They have been researching how to reduce emissions by improving stoves that are attractive and user friendly for the people.
