Colorado State University Engines and Energy Conversion Laboratory (EECL)

Mission

The EECL works in many areas of energy R&D with a specific focus towards industry partnerships and commercialization of technology. Since 2008 the EECL has partnered with Envirofit International to develop and commercialize cookstoves. The EECL has developed several products for Envirofit including the S series and G series stoves. The EECL also has worked with Envirofit and Philips to develop a testing methodologies for cookstoves (emissions, durability, etc.) Relative to stoves development, the EECL has capabilities in:

1. emissions testing (PM, NOx, CO, CO2, O2, other)
2. durability testing (mechanical, thermal, chemical)
3. computational modeling
4. design & prototyping
