Our Experience And Interest In The Four PCIA Central Focus Areas
We try to explain the disadvantages of traditional fuels and stoves in terms of health and safety and imapct of forest degradation on the society.
We demonstrate the stove to government and non government organizations in Addis Ababa and other regions. Payment options, including installment and/or cash sales are discussed and media is also used for advertisement.
The Clean Cook stove in used primarily for cooking; however, the stove can heat rooms in cold weather.
Indoor air pollution monitoring has indicated that Clean Cook stove decreases the risk of respiratory illnesses triggered by indoor air pollution from some fuels as it uses a clean fuel-ethanol. This was found by conducting IAP monitoring. Makobu is also involved in voluntary tree planting for carbon sequestration.
