Mission

ARECOP's mission is: to improve the social, economic and environmental (living) conditions of poor communities dependent on biomass as a source of energy for their livelihood, through multi-sectoral capacity building and provision of assistance to local and national initiatives (projects and/or programmes) on biomass energy; Enhance access of low-income groups to sustainable energy services Improve insight into energy needs of low-income groups; and Enhance knowledge of professionals working in the rural energy sector Encourage decision-makers to provide support to local sustainable energy initiatives.
